Wordlab School, Inc. recently held the 1st Pan-Asian Learning Difficulties Conference from October 25 to 27, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Ortigas Center, Quezon City, Philippines. Educators, doctors, and practitioners from the field took part in this prestigious three-day event. The conference theme, “Learning Difficulties: An Asian Perspective” enabled experts to exchange their experiences about the understanding, policies and advocacy initiatives, intervention and therapy of children with learning difficulties in Asia. Speakers from the Philippines, United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, Australia, and China shared their expertise and knowledge on the assessment and instruction of students with LD. The conference program also offered sessions designed specially for families of students with learning difficulties in order to aid parents in supporting their children’s learning at home and in school.
